This recipe is incredibly reliable, and you’re unlikely to make a mistake. All you have to do is season the bone-in chicken breasts to your liking and cook them in the air fryer until the internal temperature reaches 165F/74C in the thickest part.

How to prepare air fryer bone-in chicken breasts

Begin by preheating the air fryer to 400F/200C for around 3-5 minutes.

In a small bowl, combine smoked paprika, lemon pepper seasoning, Italian seasoning, garlic granules, onion granules, salt, and black pepper.

Using a paper towel, pat the chicken breasts dry before drizzling them with olive oil. Make sure to brush the oil thoroughly over and underneath the skin for even coverage.

Sprinkle the spice mixture over the chicken and rub it in well, ensuring to reach under the skin for thorough seasoning.

Optionally, spray the air fryer basket lightly with oil.

Arrange the seasoned chicken breasts in the air fryer basket, skin-side down. Cook for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway. Mine was perfectly cooked in 27 minutes. A meat thermometer is essential for checking doneness accurately.

After cooking, remove the chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for a few minutes before serving. For added freshness, garnish with chopped parsley.

Note: Cooking times may differ based on the size of the chicken, your specific air fryer model, and its wattage.
